Why This Exists

This website exists because I needed a way to work honestly while rebuilding my life.

I’m Josh Eckenrod. I’m a U.S. Navy veteran. I’m sober. And right now, I’m rebuilding from one of the hardest chapters of my life.

Over the years, I’ve worn a lot of hats; security work, creative work, problem-solving, leadership, design, sales and logistics. I’ve always been the person people came to when something needed to be figured out or fixed. That didn’t disappear when everything else fell apart.

What did disappear was stability.

This site exists so I can earn it back, one job at a time, by doing real work for real people.

I’m not a platform.

I’m not a gig marketplace.

I’m not outsourcing your task to someone you’ll never meet.

When you hire me, you’re hiring the person who reads your message, thinks through the problem, and does the work.

I’ve known a lot of hard times. Right now, I’m navigating homelessness, unemployment, and early sobriety while trying to keep my life moving forward with discipline and integrity. This site isn’t about asking for sympathy, it’s about creating a way to stand on my own feet again.

If you book a consultation, hire me for a task, or support my work, you’re not “saving” me. You’re exchanging value. You’re trusting me with a problem, and I take that seriously.

I show up.

I communicate clearly.

I finish what I start.

That matters to me, because right now, everything does.

This site also exists for one more reason: I believe people still want to hire humans. Not profiles. Not algorithms. Not faceless systems.

If you need help; creative, practical, strategic, or just someone to think through something with you, and you want to know exactly who you’re hiring, you’re in the right place.

Thank you for reading.

Thank you for considering me.
